During the 2nd Film and Gastronomy Festival in Huatulco, we will pay homage to the Gaul Raymond Turquois, the distinguished winner of the Aguila Azteca prize in 2005 for his philanthropy and propagating Mexican cuisine.
Annually the foundation gives grants to more that twenty Mexican gastronomy students who will previously receive intensive French courses in Mexico to then go on and travel to Monte Carlo and carry out practical blocks in prestigious hotels and restaurants like the Hotel Paris of Monte Carlo.
This generous French man who came to Mexico at the end of the 1940s for three months and stayed here for thirty years.  Turquois will be receiving a well earnt homage next November.

Promoting Huatulco in F&FF:
Havana Festival.

The most important Latin-American film Festival, projects and replicates the homage to Gustavo Alatriste.   Commentaries about this homage like those found by Elena Poniatowska in the Lopez Dorigas newsreel dated 7/12/06 give credit to the result of this honor.

Cartagena Colombia

HF&FF, continues with its tribute to Alatriste in the oldest festival in America where we will have showings of: Viridiana, El Angel Exterminador y Simón del desierto.  Cartagena cheered with Mezcal from “Don Willo” and where filmmakers like Miguel Littin, paid to García Márquez for his 80 years here with us.

Málaga, Spain.

The X anniversary of the Malaga Film Festival, HF&FF were present promoting the event of Film and Food awakening lots of interest amongst the  public in Andalusia. Bigas Luna (Jamón, Jamón, La Camarera del Titanic) a well known gourmet, to whom homage was being paid, celebrated with Mezcal.

Paris, France

The prestigious warehouses of the Lafayette Gallery, dedicated their 5th floor to Mexico, and especially to Huatulco.  Clients looking for beach wear also looked for recommendations about Mexican destinations.  HF&FF promoted the Film and Food Festival, and we thank Marta Varela, C.P.T delegate in Paris for all her support.
